Q & A
Q: If you could have dinner with any modern living or dead architect, who would it be and what kinds of questions would you ask?
A: Richard Neutra.
Q: How did you get started in modern real estate and what was your driving force for joining 360 Modern?
A: I was in design for 20+ years and have always loved modern. I grew up with mid century and lived in many mid century homes. I only wish that my mother had not gotten rid of some classic furniture! It would be worth a fortune. I built a modern home in sun valley, idaho and contacted heidi ward about featuring it on the site when i listed it for sale. We had known each other through real estate dealings and she knew of my design background. I was thrilled to be asked to join. I love the people in the group and their design esthetic and knowledge of architecture. I am so over selling just craftsman homes.
Q: If you were stranded on a desert island, what three items would you take with you?
A: Sunscreen, some best selling books, a Leatherman tool

Q: What’s the biggest challenge when working with a Northwest Modern seller?
A: The slow market--just like every other seller
Q: How do you size up a buyer and what is your criteria for the right houses to show?
A: I get up at 4 am every day and search for new listings and email them immediately. Modern and quality mid centuries in good neighborhoods can sell quickly and i want to have something in their inbox when they get their first cup of coffee. I often “read between the lines” and take client buyers out of their preferred location too. I love to look at where they are currently living and their furnishings. Often modern buyers are living in a craftsman but with modern furniture--a dead giveaway as to what they like versus what they currently have.

Q: If aliens landed in front of you and, in exchange for anything you desire, offered you any position on their planet, what would you want?
A: Secretary of state--not the most visible position like president but the most influential in getting divergent cultures together.
